To remove program icons:

1Make sure that all documents are saved and all programs are closed.

2Click Start on the Windows 95 taskbar.

3Select Settings.

4Click Control Panel.

5Double-clickAdd/Remove Programs.

6Click Windows Setup.

7Find the software whose icon you want to delete.

8Click the box to deselect it (the check mark should disappear).

9Click OK.

10Click Yes to restart the computer.

Running MS-DOS

Some software requires MS-DOS. To use MS-DOS:

1Click Start on the Windows 95 taskbar.

2Click Shut Down. You are offered several options.

3Choose Restart computer in MS-DOS mode.

4Click Yes.

You are now in MS-DOS at the Windows directory level. Type CD C:\ and then press Enter to get to the root level of the file system directory.

When you want to go back to Windows 95, type EXIT at the MS-DOS prompt, and then press Enter.
