1Insert the CD that came with your copier/printer into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.

2Select Install the software automatically, and click Next. Windows searches for the correct files.

Caution! It may take several minutes for Windows XP to install the software. During this time, the computer may not appear to be working. However, do not interrupt the installation process.

3One of the following events occur:

–If you have been installing the DOT 4 USB Printing Support, another New Hardware Wizard dialog box automatically appears for the installation of the HP Digital Copier. Repeat the procedure starting at step 2.

–If you have been installing the Hewlett-Packard digital-copier color series, go to step 4.

4Click Finish.
