TO ADJUST SNOW THROWER HEIGHT

See “TO ADJUST SKID PLATES” and “SCRAPER BAR” in the Operation section of this manual.

CHUTE DEFLECTOR

The chute defl ector, attached to the top of the discharge chute, is provided to direct discharging snow away from the operator. If the defl ector becomes damaged, it should be replaced.

WARNING: To avoid serious injury, never operate your snow thrower with the deflector removed or damaged.

To change direction and/or distance snow is discharged, see “TO CONTROL SNOW DISCHARGE” in the Op- eration section of this manual.

SHEAR BOLTS (See Fig. 19)

AUGER SHEAR BOLTS

Both right and left-hand augers are secured to the auger shaft with a shoulder/shear bolt and hex nut. Should a for- eign object or ice become lodged in the augers, the shear bolts are designed to break, preventing damage to any other components. If one or both augers do not turn when auger control lever is engaged, check to see if one or both of the bolts have sheared. To replace the shear bolts:

1.Disengage all controls and move throttle control to STOP position. Wait for all moving parts to stop.

2.Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug.

3.Align hole in auger hub with hole in auger shaft and install a new 1/4-20 x 2" shoulder/shear bolt. Install 1/4-20 lock nut and tighten securely.

CAUTION: Do not substitute. Use only original equipment shear bolts as supplied with your snow thrower.

4.Connect spark plug wire to spark plug.

IMPELLER SHEAR BOLTS

The impeller is secured to the impeller shaft with two (2)

capscrew/shear bolts and hex nuts. Should a foreign object

or ice become lodged in the impeller, the capscrews are

designed to break, preventing damage to any other com-

ponents. If impeller does not turn when auger control lever

is engaged, check to see if the capscrews have sheared.

8524STE specifications

The Husqvarna 8524STE is a top-tier snowblower designed for both efficiency and user-friendly operation. This powerful machine is engineered to tackle heavy snowfall, making it an essential tool for homeowners in winter climates.

One of the standout features of the Husqvarna 8524STE is its robust 24-inch clearing width. This wide design allows users to clear large areas quickly and effectively. Equipped with a powerful 208cc engine, the snowblower delivers exceptional performance, ensuring reliable starting in cold temperatures and a high throwing distance for snow.

The Husqvarna 8524STE employs a dual-stage snow removal system, which combines both an auger and an impeller. This two-step process allows for the efficient intake and powering of snow into the chute for dispersal at a significant distance. The heavy-duty steel auger can cut through compacted snow and ice, reducing the effort required by the user.

Another notable technology featured in the Husqvarna 8524STE is its electric start system. This allows for easy and quick starting with the push of a button, eliminating the hassle of manual pull starts, especially in frigid temperatures. Additionally, the snowblower features a friction disc transmission that offers six forward speeds and two reverse speeds, enabling users to adjust their pace according to their specific snow-clearing needs.

Comfort is also a priority with this model. The ergonomic handle is designed for better grip, and the controls are well-placed for ease of use. The handle height can be adjusted to accommodate different user heights, ensuring that everyone can operate the machine comfortably.

The Husqvarna 8524STE further enhances its usability with a chute rotation that can be easily adjusted from the operator’s position. This feature provides precise control over the direction in which the snow is thrown, allowing users to clear their driveways, sidewalks, and walkways efficiently.

For added safety, the snowblower includes features such as a transparent fuel tank for easy monitoring of fuel levels and LED headlights for increased visibility during nighttime operations.

In summary, the Husqvarna 8524STE combines powerful performance with user-friendly features. Its durable construction, advanced technologies, and thoughtful design make it one of the best choices on the market for those looking to tackle winter's challenges. Whether you face heavy snowfalls or light flurries, this snowblower is built to handle it all with ease and efficiency.
