Indicator Meaning
3 Standby
status Green: Thecomputer is in standby mode.
Blinkinggreen:
Thecomputer is entering standby
modeor hibernation mode, or is
resumingnormal operation.
4 Poweron Green: Thecomputer is on and ready to use.
Thisindicator stays lit whenever the
computeris on and is not in standby
mode.
5 Scrolllock Green: ScrollLockmode is enabled. The
arrowkeys can be used as
screen-scrollfunction keys. The
cursorcannot be moved with the
arrowkeys. Not all application
programssupport this function. To
enableor disable Scroll Lock mode,
pressthe ScrLk key.
6 Capslock Green: CapsLock mode is enabled. To
enableor disable Caps Lock mode,
pressthe Caps Lock key.
7 Numlock Green: The numeric keypad on the keyboard
isenabled. To enable or disable the
keypad,press and hold the Shift key,
andpress the NumLk (ScrLk) key.
8 Drivein
use Green: Datais being read from or written to
thehard-disk drive, the diskette drive,
orthe drive in the Ultrabay Plus
device.When this indicator is on, do
notput the computer into standby
modeor turn off the computer.
Note: Donot move the system while the green
drive-in-uselight is on. Sudden physical shock
couldcause drive errors.
9 Ultrabay
status Green: AnUltrabay Plus device is installed
andin use.
Blinkinggreen:
AnUltrabay Plus device is in the
processof being detached.
Turnoff: AnUltrabayPlus device is ready to
beattached or detached.
Note: Ifyou are using Windows 2000, the
Ultrabaystatus indicator does not blink while an
UltrabayPlus device is being detached. Instead,
amessage box pops up when the process is
completed;then the indicator turns off.
