WASHERCARE

Cleaning the exterior

Use a soft damp cloth or sponge to wipe up any spills. Occasionally wipe the outside of your washer to keep it looking new. Use mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive products.

Cleaning the interior

Use the following procedure without any clothing. Your washer interior should be cleaned at least once per month to reduce or prevent any accumulation of mold or mildew odors.

Start by adding 1 cup (250 mL) of bleach into the detergent dispenser. Continue by adding 1 cup (250 mL) of bleach directly to the wash tub. This is the only time you should add anything other than clothing into the wash tub. Select and run the Regular/Heavy Soil cycle without clothing, using hot water. Repeat this process if necessary.

Inspect the interior of the washer for lint and other debris that may accumulate on the basket and rubber bellows. Remove and dispose of any accumulation as necessary.

Leave the washer door open between cycles to allow the washer interior to dry out.

NOTE: To remove hard water deposits, use only cleaners labeled for washer use.

Cleaning the door seal

Use a soft damp cloth or sponge when necessary. Check the fold of the seal periodically for any foreign objects.

Cleaning the dispenser drawer

The dispenser drawer is removable for easy cleaning.

1.Unlock the dispenser drawer by pressing on the plastic part of the softener compartment marked "PUSH."

Cleaning the lint filter

The lint filter should be cleaned about once a month. Make sure the washer has drained before opening the filter door.

1.Place a pan or towel under the filter door, since a small amount of water could spill.

3.Clean the filter with a soft brush under running water until all residue is removed.

4.Replace the filter and turn it clockwise until it is securely locked in place. Give the cap a gentle tug to confirm that the filter is secure.

2.Remove the drawer.

3.Do not clean the door with cleaning solvents or abrasive cleansers. You could damage the finish.

4.Replace the dispenser drawer in the washer.

Cleaning the control panel

To clean the control panel, use only a warm, damp cloth.

Do not spray water or cleaning solvents on the control panel.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the outer surfaces because they will scratch the finish and could remove the writing on the control panel.

Some paper towels may also scratch the finish.
