To stop searching before a station is received,
press the same button you have pressed for
searching.
To tune in to FM stations only with strong signals
1Press MODE (M) to enter the functions
mode while listening to an FM broadcast.
2Press LO (local) while still in the functions
mode, so that the LOCAL indicator lights up
on the display.
This function works only while searching FM
stations, including SSM preset.
Each time you press the button, the LOCAL
indicator lights up and goes off alternately.

Start searching a station.
When a station is received, searching stops.

Listening to the radio

You can use either automatic searching or manual
searching to tune in to a particular station.

Searching a station automatically:

Select FM or AM.
1Press SOURCE
repeatedly to select
FM or AM as the
source.
2If necessary, press
BAND (B) repeatedly
to select the FM band
number. Each time
you press the button,
the FM band changes
as follows:
Notes:
This receiver has three FM bands (FM1, FM2,
FM3). You can use any one of them to listen to
an FM broadcast.
If a name has been assigned to the station (see
page 35), the assigned name appears on the
upper line of the main display. The STATION
indicator also lights up.
Press ¢ to search
stations of higher
frequencies.
Press 4 to search
stations of lower
frequencies.
