Tuning in to a Station
1 Press BAND/TUNER.
The unit automatically tunes in to the | TUNER |

previously tuned station (either FM or AM). |
|
•Each time you press the button, the band alternates between FM and AM.
2 Press and hold 4 or ¢ for more than 1 second.
The unit starts searching for stations and stops when a station of sufficient signal strength is tuned in to.
•When the band is FM and a program is broadcast in stereo, you can hear stereo sounds. (The STEREO indicator appears).
To stop during searching, press 4 or ¢.3 Press GROUP/PRESET UP or GROUP/PRESET DOWN

The tuned station in step 1 is stored in the preset number selected in step 3.
•Storing a new station on a used number erases the previously stored one.
When you press 4 or ¢ briefly and repeatedly The frequency changes step by step.
To change the FM reception mode
When an FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive or noisy, press FM MODE/BEAT CUT. “MONO” appears and the MONO
indicator lights up on the display. Reception improves.
To restore the stereo effect, press FM MODE/BEAT CUT again.
“STEREO” appears and the MONO indicator goes off.
•The stereo effect is also restored when you tune in to another station.
Presetting Stations
You can preset 20 FM and 20 AM stations.In some cases, test frequencies have been already memorized for the tuner since the factory examined the tuner preset
When you unplug the AC power cord or if a power failure occurs
The preset stations will be erased in a few days. If this happens, preset the stations again. Even if the batteries are inserted in the unit, this will occur unless the AC power plug has been disconnected from the unit.
If the time limit comes while presetting the station
The tuned frequency will be stored. (When the preset number is not selected, the tuned frequency will not stored.)
