Programming the Playing Order
of the Tracks—Program Play
You can arrange the order in which the tracks play before you start playing. You can program up to 40 tracks.
•To use Repeat play (see page 18) for Program play, press REPEAT after starting Program play.
•Program play is not available when playing back a VCD 2.0 with the PBC function. (See page 21 for playing back a VCD 2.0 with the PBC function.)
1 Load disc.
•If the current playing source is not the disc player, press CD before going to the next step.

To stop during play, press 7.
The unit stops Program play.
To check the program contents
Before playing, you can check the program contents by pressing PROGRAM/SET.
•Each time you press the button, the programmed tracks are shown on the display.
To add tracks in the program
1Press PROGRAM/SET repeatedly until “0” appears as the track number.
2Enter the track number(s) you want to add by repeating steps 3 and 4 on the left.
To edit the program
1Press PROGRAM/SET repeatedly to show the program number you want to edit.
2Enter the track number you want by following steps 3 and 4 on the left.
•“PROGRAM MENU” appears on the TV, then the programming information appears on the TV.
3 Select a track from the disc. Press 4 or ¢ to select the track number.
•To program from MP3 disc, press
GROUP/PRESET UP or GROUP/PRESET DOWN to select a group, then press 4 or ¢ to select a track in the group.

To erase a programed track
1Press PROGRAM/SET repeatedly to show the program number you want to erase.
2Press 4 or ¢ repeatedly until “0” appears as the track number.
3Press PROGRAM/SET.
To erase the entire program
Press 7 while the playback is stopped.
The PROG indicator goes off from the display.
•The programmed tracks are also erased in the following cases:
–Pressing 0 OPEN to open the disc door.
–Changing the source.
–Turning off the unit.

OVER
If you cannot enter a track number
You are trying to program a track number that does not exist on the disc (for example, selecting track 14 on a CD that only has 12 tracks).
4 Press PROGRAM/SET.
