To select the screen for playback from the digest screen [DIGEST]

The center unit can display the opening scene of each title or chap- ter on a DVD or each track of a Video CD.

You can select a desired title, chapter or track from the opening scenes displayed on the TV.

❏ For DVD: While stopped or during playback

For Video CD: While stopped or during playback without PBC function.

From the remote control only:

1Press DIGEST.

• DVD is stopped

Up to nine first scenes of each title may be dis- played.

• DVD is playing

Up to nine first scenes of each chapter in the cur- rent title may be dis- played.

•Video CD

Up to nine first scenes of each track may be dis- played.

	Using the DVD player	English
2	Press the 2/3/5/° cursors to select the
	desired title, chapter, or track.
	When the disc contains more than 9 titles, chapters, or tracks,
	the digest screen will have more than one page.
	In this case, display a different page of the digest with the
	method described below.
		English
	To display the next page: Press ¢.
	To display the previous page: Press 4.
	Or
	When the selected title, chapter or track is in the upper left-
	hand corner of the screen, press the 2 cursor.

When the selected title,	English
chapter, or track is in
the lower right-hand
corner for the screen,
press the 3 cursor.

3Press ENTER.

The center unit starts playback from the selected title, chapter or track.

To return to the regular display before pressing	English
ENTER in step 3:
Press DIGEST again.
Note:

•With some discs, depending on the contents, it may take some time until all the scenes appear on the screen.

1 Press PAUSE at the location at which the
picture is to be advanced.
The picture is paused.

2Press PAUSE again.

Each time you press PAUSE, the still picture advances to the next frame.

Press PLAY to return to normal playback.

Note:

•You can perform the above operation using 8 button on the center unit.
