4Input the disc or track title.

The following table shows the buttons to be used to input a title. Also, an example how to input title is explained here.

Button				Function
		Changes the type of characters to be input as follows.
or		Upper case letters and symbols
		Lower case letters and symbols
DISPLAY
/CHARA
		Numbers
		• Moves the cursor for the character to be input to the right.
	or	• When the cursor is further moved to the right at the last character, the next character
		group in the lower row is displayed. e.g. ABCDE → FGHIJ
		• Moves the cursor for the character to be input to the left.
	or	• When the cursor is further moved to the left at the first character, the next character
		group in the upper row is displayed. e.g. FGHIJ → ABCDE
SCROLL		The SCROLL on the remote control unit selects the character group in the lower row.
		e.g. ABCDE → FGHIJ
	or	Moves the cursor for the title name to the right.
	or	Moves the cursor for the title name to the left.
		Clears the input character for the title name.
		Note: When assigning a track title during playback or recording on page 29, the button
	CANCEL		functions as follows:
	or		7STOP/CANCEL on the main unit : Stops the MD.
			CANCEL on the remote control unit : Clears the input character.
		Scrolls the title name exceeding 5 characters.

How to input the title name:

Example: When input the title “ N(space)1234”

1Display the letters “KLMNO”.

•Turn the jog dial on the main unit or 4 or ¢on the remote control unit until “KLMNO” is displayed.

OR

•Press SCROLL on the remote control unit until “KLMNO” is displayed.

2Select “N”.

Move the cursor to the letter N using the jog dial on the main unit or 4 or ¢on the remote control unit.

3Press SET on the main unit or the remote control unit. The letter N is now displayed in the title name area.
