Connecting the System

Connecting Other Accessories (Commercially Available Units)

z When a related system component is connected, read the instruction manual for that component also.

z Ensure that all the cords are securely connected. Loose or incomplete connections may result in noise interference or no sound at all.

Caution for outdoor antenna installation

Since antenna installation necessitates skill and experience, always consult your dealer before installation. The antenna should be placed at a distance from the power distribution wires. Otherwise, an electric shock accident may occur if the antenna falls down.

PHONO IN

Connect record players with MM cartridges to the [PHONO IN] terminal on the rear panel of the main unit.

z The [M] (earth) terminal is used to reduce noise reduction when an analog record player is connected to the system. It is not an earth terminal for safety purposes.

zRecord players with built-in equalizer amplifiers should be connected to the [AUX IN] terminal.

zYou cannot connect a record player with an MC cartridge directly to the main unit. Connect a dedicated equalizer amplifier to the record player and then connect it to the [AUX IN] terminal.
