Preparing for surround sound
Before setting up the speakers
For the optimum surround playback, variety of speaker settings are necessary.
Following the procedure below, go through the settings described in further pages.

1When performing "Setting up the speakers automatically (AUTO SETUP)", connect the provided microphone for setup to the SETUP MIC jack.
2Turn on the power to this receiver by pressing the
(POWER ON/STANDBY) key

3If you want to use the remote control unit, press the RCV MODE key on the remote control unit to set it to the receiver control mode.
4Press the SETUP key to enter the SETUP mode.
Use the 5/∞ keys or MULTI @/ #keys for the following dis- plays.
