Troubleshooting

You can solve many common cooktop problems easily, saving you the cost of a possible service call. Try the suggestions below to see if you can solve your problem without outside help. If the suggestions do not work, see “Requesting Assistance or Service” on page 19 in the U.S.A.), or on page 20 (in Canada).

PROBLEM

Nothing will operate

The surface cooking areas will not operate

Control knob(s) will not turn

Touch controls will not respond

Cooking results are not what you expected

POSSIBLE CAUSE

The unit is not wired into a live circuit with proper voltage.

A household fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped.

A household fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped.

You are not setting the control knobs correctly.

You are not pushing in before turning.

You are not following the correct sequence to operate the electronic touch control.

You are not touching the electronic control in the correct location.

The cooktop is not level.

The pan used is not the correct type or size.

Cookware does not fit the surface cooking area being used.

SOLUTION
