Camera Care

Cleaning the Imager

If the imager is dirty, gently blow off the dust using commercially available “canned air.”

If the imager is still dirty, contact your dealer or service representative.

Reassembling the Camera

Reassemble your camera after inspecting or cleaning the imager.

1Press and hold the SELECT

button and rotate the Main-

Command dial to highlight Yes

in the Close shutter screen.

The mirror lowers and the

shutter closes.

2Turn the camera Off.

3Replace the antialiasing filter

(page 11-3), if necessary.

4Replace the lens.

5Turn the camera On.

6Capture an image of a plain

white object and verify that

there are no imperfections.
