2 Taking Pictures

Use the Still setting on the Mode dial whenever you take pictures or wish to customize your picture-taking settings. Before you take a picture, make sure your picture storage location is set the way you want it (page 13).

Taking a Picture

1Turn the Mode dial to Still .

Frame your subject. Use the viewfinder, or

 

turn on Preview (page 16) and use the LCD

 

screen.

Press the Shutter button half-way to set the

 

exposure.

4 Continue pressing the Shutter button

 

completely down to take the picture.

the flash is recharging. If necessary, wait

 

for the flash to charge before taking the

 

next picture.

CAUTION:

Do not insert or remove a Picture Card when the green viewfinder light is blinking. Doing so may damage your pictures, Picture Card, or camera.
