Chapter 3

Setting Video Length

You can specify a time limit for the videos you take. The Video Length setting is useful if you wish to conserve space in the camera’s internal memory or on a Picture Card, or if you want all of your videos to be the same length.

1Turn the Mode dial to Video , then press the Menu button.

2 Highlight the Video Length menu

,

then press the Select button.

3Highlight the setting you want to use.

Unlimited (default)—camera records until you stop recording, or until the current storage location is full.

5, 15, or 30 Seconds—camera records for the specified time, or until the current storage location is full.

4Press Select.

5Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen.

This setting remains until you change it.

NOTE: If the current storage location does not have enough space to record for the specified time, the viewfinder light turns red when you turn off the menu screen. A memory full message appears if you attempt to take a video.

See page 84 for how many seconds of video you can store in the camera’s internal memory or on Picture Cards.
