Computer/connectivity problems
You cannot take a
picture
Turn the camera off, then on again.
Depress the shutter button all the way (page7).
Insert a charged battery (page2).
Wait until the ready light is green before attempting to
take another picture.
Transfer pictures to the computer (page42), delete
pictures from the camera (page30), switch image storage
locations (page23), or insert a card with available
memory (page6).
If the camera is in Favorites mode, turn the Mode dial to a
different mode.

The computer does
not communicate with
the camera
Turn on the camera.
Insert a charged battery (page2).
Make sure the USB cable is securely connected on the
camera and the computer port (page42).
Make sure the EasyShare software is installed (page35).

NOTE: This camera is not supported by Mac OS 8.6 or 9.x. You may

capture pictures on a card, then use a card reader to transfer

them to the computer.

Slide Show does not
run on an external
video device
Adjust the camera Video Out setting (NTSC or PAL,
page25).
Make sure the external device settings are correct (see the
device’s user’s guide).
