5. Install the Spout – Ceiling Installation

Install a 2x4 for support in the location where the spout will be mounted. Position the 2x4 support so it is 3-3/4″ (9.5 cm) from the bottom of the joist.

Install the spout assembly to the 2x4 using two wood screws, inserted at the angles shown, through the holes in the back plate.

Remove the boot cap from the end of the intake pipe.

Remove the mounting sleeve and cartridge.

Solder the intake pipe to the valve outlet tubing.
