for mycoaxial digital input?

Q. I have somevery fine audiophile interconnect cable

whichhas superior sonic characteristics. CanI use this

for mycoaxial digital input?

¯

A. Youmayexperiment with any high quality cable. Do note, that mostaudio interconnect cable is not designed" to carry the ultra high frequencyinformationof the digi- tal bit stream.

NOTE:For the STEALTH,we recommendnon-capaci- tive coaxial cable whichhas a bandwidthin excess of 10MHZand excellent shielding properties.

Q. While listening to mySTEALTHIexperience occa- sional periods of silence through myspeakers. Is my processor malfunctioning?

A. Dropouts are caused by two primary reasons. First, drop outs can be caused by Data corruption. Corrup.tion in the data maybe due to a poor input connection, dam- agedor dirty source material, or interconnects whichd.o not have a wide enoughbandwidth. The second item tlaat causesthe processorto reset is the presenceof a transient

spike on the incomingACpowerline. The processor is resetting all of its digital processingcircuits so tlaat it can be assuredthat all its circuits are properlysynchronized. Try changing your source material and check your con- nections. If these are not the cause, speak with your dealer about obtaining different cabling. If youare using fiber optics, and source material and connectionsare not the problem, speak with your authorized dealer.

Q. Since I installed the processor in mysystemI have a lowlevel humthat increases as I turn up the volume. There was no humin mysystem until I added the proces- sor. Is the processor malfunctioning?

A. The fact that there wasno humin your syste~n until youaddedthe processor indicates that youhave a ground-loopproblem. Often changingthe interconnect to a fibre optic cable will eliminate this problem.Theway the digital processor and digital source are connectedto the ACmainsoften can be t-he cause of groundingprob- lems. Lif~tingthe groundon a specific component~y meansot a three prong to two prong ACadaptor(Cheater plug) will often solve the probIem.Checkfor loose inter- connect cables and or bad electrical connections. Consult your dealer or Krell for individual systemsuggestions if this humpersists.
