Description

Press one or more times to select the device connected to the VIDEO or S-VIDEOjack as the video source. For more information, see “Selecting the video input source” on page 23.

When playing a Blu-ray Disc that has a Java™ application, press to control playback. For more information, see the documentation that came with the Blu-ray Disc.

Press one or more times to select the device connected to the HDMI1, HDMI2, or HDMI3 jack as the video source. For more information, see “Selecting the video input source” on page 23.

When playing a Blu-ray Disc that has a Java™ application, press to control playback. For more information, see the documentation that came with the Blu-ray Disc.

In Blu-ray mode, press to open Setup menu.

Press this button to close network applications or stop disc playback.

During Blu-ray Disc playback, press to open a menu that lets you control Blu-ray Disc playback.

Press to display a PVR or set-top box channel list.

Press to fast forward. Each time you press this button, the fast-forward speed increases from Fast×2, Fast×4, Fast×8, Fast×16, Fast×32, Fast×64, to Fast×128.

Press (play) to resume normal playback.

Press to go to the next chapter, title, or track.

Press to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.

Press to change channels. For more information, see “Selecting a channel” on page 25.

Press to mute the sound. Press again to restore the sound.

In TV mode, press to enter a digital sub-channel number. For more information, see “Selecting a channel” on page 25.

Press to turn closed captioning on or off. You can select

CCOff, CC On, or CC On Mute. For more information,

see “Viewing closed captioning” on page 36.

In Blu-ray mode, press to select a subtitle language or to turn subtitles off.

In Blu-ray mode, press to repeat the current title, chapter, track, or repeat all.

Press to select the aspect ratio. You can select Normal,

Wide, Zoom, Cinema, or Auto.

Press to select the video mode. You can select Vivid, Standard, Energy Savings, Theater, Sports, or Custom. For more information, “Adjusting the TV picture” on page 25.

Using the remote control

Installing remote control batteries

To install remote control batteries:

1Remove the battery compartment cover.

2Insert two AA batteries (included) into the battery compartment. Make sure that the + and – symbols on the batteries match the + and – symbols in the battery compartment.

3Replace the cover.

Cautions

Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine, heat registers, or fire.

Battery chemicals can cause a rash. If the batteries leak, clean the battery compartment with a cloth. If chemicals touch your skin, wash immediately.

Make sure that batteries are disposed of correctly. Do not burn or incinerate.

Make sure that you match the + and – symbols on the batteries with the symbols in the battery compartment.

Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.

If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period of time, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

Do not try to recharge non-rechargable batteries. They may overheat and rupture.
