Scherpstellen

De middeninstelschroef is een combinatieknop met 3 functies: Als de twee knophelften gekop- peld zijn, kan met de verrekijker op verschillende afstanden scherpgesteld worden. Als de knop- helften ontkoppeld zijn – door de bovenste knophelft naar buiten te trekken tot hij niet ver- der kan – kan met de bovenste knop alleen de scherpte van het rechter optische systeem en met de onderste knop alleen de scherpte van het linker optische systeem veranderd worden. Door

de twee ontkoppelde knoppen op de beste scherpte te draaien wordt de verrekijker aan de individuele gezichtsscherpte van linker en rech- ter oog van de gebruiker aangepast. De volgorde van de bediening is hierbij willekeurig. Als alleen links of rechts door de verrekijker gekeken wordt, moet het andere oog dichtgeknepen wor- den of het glas voor op het objectief afgedekt worden. De twee knophelften zijn beveiligd (gekoppeld), als tussen de twee knoppen de rode ring niet meer zichtbaar is.
