When you place an emergency 911 call, the GPS feature of
your phone begins to seek information to calculate your
approximate location. Depending on several variables,
including availability and access to satellite signals, itmay
take 30 seconds or more to determine and reportyour
approximate location.
IMPORTANT: Always reportyour location to the 911 operator when placing
an emergency call.Some designated emergency call takers, known as Public
Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) may notbe equipped to receive GPS
location information from your phone.
In-Call OptionsWhile a call is in progess, a listof options is displayed thatyou
may use during the call. To selectan option, highlightthe
option and press . The following options are available:
䢇Mute orUnmuteto mute your microphone, or to unmute
the microphone if itwas muted earlier.
䢇Speaker On or Speaker Offroutes the phone’s audio
through the speaker or through the earpiece.
䡲SelectSpeaker Onto route the phone’s audio through
the speaker. (You can adjustthe speaker volume
using the volume keys on the side of the phone.)
䡲SelectSpeaker Offto use the phone’s earpiece.
Warning!Due to higher volume levels, do notplace the phone near your ear
during speakerphone use.
䢇3-Way Callto setup a three-way conversation.
䢇Contactsto access the Contacts menu.
䢇RecentCallsto access the Recent Calls list.
䢇Send Messageto send a textmessage.
䢇Record Voice Memoto record the currentconversation.
