Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports

The Voice Tab - System

STUN (Simple Traversal of UDP through NATs) is a protocol that enables Internet phone calls to travel between your local network and the Internet. Not all Internet phone service providers use the STUN protocol; however, if your provider does, then configure the settings on this screen to enable your Internet phone calls. (All the settings should be supplied by your Internet phone service provider.)

NOTE: Depending on your Internet phone service provider’s policies, your access to the Router’s configuration settings may be restricted, so you may not be able to access the Voice tab of the Web-based Utility.

If your Internet phone service provider sent you the Router, then it may be pre-configured for you, and you do not need to change any settings. However, if you want to make configuration changes, then you should visit the website of your Internet phone service provider and make these changes online. The updated settings will be remotely downloaded to the Router. For more information, refer to the instructions provided by your service provider.
