INTRODUCTION

To get the best out of your new ice cream maker, please read through these instructions carefully before using it for the first time. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your ice cream maker.

SAFETY MEASURES

The motor unit, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid.

Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.

Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on. Children should be supervised when using it.

Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use.

Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug. Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.

Never use the appliance if it, the cord or plug is damaged or if the appliance is not functioning correctly. Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer.

The appliance is for indoor use only.

Never try to repair the appliance yourself. If the appliance, cord or plug needs to be repaired, it should be taken to an authorised service centre. Contact your retailer if the repairs fall under the terms of the guarantee.

BEFORE USING THE ICE CREAM MAKER FOR THE FIRST TIME

1.Remove all packaging material.

2.Clean all parts of the machine before using it for the first time (see “Cleaning” section).

3.Place the bowl (6) in a freezer, and leave it there for at least 8 hours, until you are ready to make ice cream.

HOW TO USE THE ICE CREAM MAKER

1.Fit the spindle (3) into the motor unit (1).

2.Fit the motor unit into the lid (4), so the dowels at the front and sides of the motor unit fit into the slots in the lid.

3.Fit the paddle (5) onto the spindle.

4.Remove the bowl (6) from the freezer.

5.Lower the lid with motor unit, spindle and paddle down into the bowl, so the two locking devices (8) are opposite the two dowels (10) on the inside of the bowl.

6.To lock the lid firmly in place on the bowl, push the locking devices outwards, i.e. away from the motor unit, until they connect with the dowels.

7.You can now switch the ice cream maker on using the on/off button (2).
