9) Flip the retainer from front to back,
then slide it back into the slot so
that the lip of the retainerfaces up
and the ovalis at the bottom of the
retainer.This will hold the handset
in place.

1) Remove the handset battery cover

2) Plug the battery’s cable into
the handset
3) Replace the battery cover.

Beforeplugging the phone line into your new phone for the first time,

without interruption.
1) Place the handset on the base.
2) Make sure that the
status
LED lights. If the LED doesn’t light, check to
see that the ACadapter is plugged in and that the handset makes good
contact with the base charging contacts.
