TO STOP RECORDING TEMPORARILY TO STOP RECORDING

Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®P button to avoid recording
unwanted material. Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®P button
again to continue recording. The Pause mode will be
released after 5 minutes to prevent damage to the tape, the
unit will then be in the Stop mode.

To stop recording, press the STOP Xbutton.

Press the POWER button to turn on the unit and load a
tape with the Erase Prevention Tab intact.

Press the SP/SLP button to select the desired tape speed.
See page 33 for more information on tape usage.

Press the CHANNELUp (π) 1 or Down () 2 button to select
a channel to be recorded. To record from the front or rear A/V
inputs (VIDEO1 or Video 2), press the AV1/AV2 button 3
repeatedly to select Video 1 or Video 2. Press the REC button
4 once to start recording. Press it again to activate OTR (One-
Touch Recording); “OTR 0:30” will appear on the screen and
the unit will record for 30 minutes and then it will stop and turn
off to the Standby mode.

Within a few seconds, press the REC buttonto increase
the recording time by 30 minutes. Each additional press of
the REC button will increase recording time by 30 minutes,
up to a maximum of eight hours. To stop and cancel OTR,
press and hold the REC button until Stop appears on the
display.

ONE-TOUCH RECORDING

OTR is a simple and convenient way to make a timed recording without programming the Timer.

NOTES:
If the tape's available recording time is shorter that the OTR time that you set, when the end of the tape is reached, the
recording will stop and the tape will be ejected and the unit will turn off to the standby mode automatically.
If you want to view for another TV channel/station during recording, see page 36 (TO VIEW ANOTHER PROGRAM
WHILE RECORDING).
The TV/VCR channel cannot be changed during recording.
If the Erase Prevention Tab is removed, the tape will eject when the REC button is pressed.
