4.5.3 UPnP

Universal Plug and Play (UPnP): When a user plugs a device which supports UPnP into the network, the device will configure itself, acquire a TCP/IP address, and use a discovery protocol based on the Internet's Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) to announce its presence on the network to other devices.

You can choose “Activated” or “Deactivated” option from this session.

Auto-Configured (by UPnP Application): Choose “Activated” option to allow UPnP-enabled applications to automatically configure the router so that they can communicate through the router, for example by using NAT traversal, UPnP applications automatically reserve a NAT forwarding port in order to communicate with another UPnP enabled device; this eliminates the need to manually configure port forwarding for the UPnP enabled application. If you don’t want to make configuration changes through UPnP, just choose “Deactivated”. Click Apply to save the

setting to the router.

Note: Every time you change a setting, you must click APPLY button once to save the setting.
