The capsule plate will soil more or less |

depending on the oil content of the |

coffee capsule used. |

Clean the capsule plate as necessary |

or when the machine needs to be |

descaled with the supplied cleaning |

tablets. The cleaning tablets can be |
| |
purchased from Miele. | ^ Press the steam lever down and pull | |
| ||
| off the rubber sleeve. | |
| ^ Clean the rubber sleeve and the | |
| steam valve tip with a mild solution of | |
| water and liquid dish soap. | |
| ^ Reattach the rubber sleeve firmly on | |
| the steam valve tip. | |
^ Press the checkered part, a, down | ^ Push the steam lever up before | |
closing the door or else it may get | ||
and pull the capsule plate, b, out. | ||

^Dissolve one cleaning tablet in hot water.
^Place the capsule plate in the solution and let it soak for one hour.
^Rinse thoroughly and dry the capsule plate.
^Insert the capsule plate into the machine until it clicks.
