Operating Environment

The following describes the operating environment required when
using the printer.
Temperature: 50°F to 95°F (10°C to 35°C) with a fluctuation of
50°F (10°C) per hour.
Humidity: 15% to 85% RH wi th a fluctuation of 20% per hour.

Operation

To ensure the optimum performance of the printer, follow the pre-
cautions listed below.
• Ne v er turn the printer of f or open an y of its covers while a print-
ing operation is being performed.
• Never locate any object that generates magnetic force, flamm a-
ble gas, or is flammable near the printer.
• When unplugging the po wer cord, gras p the pl ug and never pul l
on the cord. A damaged cord creates the danger of fire or elec-
tric shock.
• Ne v er touch the power cord when your hands are wet. Doing so
creates the danger of electric shock.
• Always unplug the pow e r cord before moving the printer. Fail-
ure to do so can damage the power cord, creating the danger of
fire or electric shock.
• Always unplug the pow e r cord if you do not plan to use the
printer for a long tim e.
