Choosing a Text Entry Method

Multiple text entry methods make it easy for you to enter names,

numbers, and messages.

Press M >Entry Meth od from any text entry screen to select a text

entry method:

Note: The text entry method you select remains active until you

change it by selecting another method.

Using the Tap Method

This is the standard entry method for entering text on your phone.

Press M>TAP from a text entry screen..

iTAP Let the phone predict each word as you

enter it, then choose the word from a list

(see page32).

TAP Enter characters one at a time by pressing

the key for the letter, number, or symbol

(see page30). This is the standard

method for entering text.
