Java Applications and GPS Enabled
• Restricted — No Java or similar software
applications may a ccess the location of your
phone. However, location information may still
be available to the phone’s owner, fleet
manager, or account ad ministrator.
• Unrestricted — All Java appl ications may
access the location of your phone, without
notifying you.
• By Permission — When a Java application
attempts to access the lo cation of your phone,
you are prompted to give permission. However,
location information may still be availabl e to the
phone’s owner, fleet ma nager, or account
administrator.

Granting or Denying PermissionIf you choose By Permission, you must grant or
deny each Java ap plication access t o the location
of your phone when the application re quests
access for the first time . You may be required to
grant or deny subsequent requests from the same
application, depending on the privacy setting you
choose for the individual Java application (see
“Setting Privacy for Each Java Application” on
page 102).
When a Java application requests access the
location of your phone, a screen appears informing
you.
To deny this request:
1Press A under Deny. The application does not
access the location of your phone.
2Select the denying option you want:
•Always — If the application requests access
to the location of your phone again, the
request is denied witho ut notifying you.
• For this session — If the application
requests access to the locatio n of your phone
again before you power off your phone, the
request is denied witho ut notifying you.
• Only Once — If the application requests
access to the location of your phone again,
you are prompted to grant or deny
permission.
To grant this request:
1Press A under Grant. The application accesses
your phone’s locat ion.
2Select the granting option you want:
•Always — If the application requests access
to the location of your phone again, the
request is granted witho ut notifying you.
