•To reduce the risk of damag e to the cord or p lug,
pull by the plug ra ther than the cord wh en you
disconnect the ba ttery charger from th e power
source outlet.
•Do not operate any battery charger with a
damaged cord or plug — replace them
immediately.
•Battery charger s may become warm during
operation, but not hot. If it becomes hot to the
touch, unplug it fro m the power outlet
immediately and discon tinue its use.
•Use of a non-recommended attachment to a
battery charger may result in a risk of fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
•Make sure the battery charger power cord is
located so that it will n ot be stepped on, trippe d
over, or subjected to damage or stress.
•An extension cord should not be used w ith any
battery charger unl ess absolutely nec essary.
Use of an improper extension cord could result
in a risk of fire and elec tric shock. If an ex tension
cord must be used, make sure that:
•The pins on the plug o f the extension cor d are
the same number, size, and shape as those
on the plug of the charger.
•The extension cor d is properly wired and in
good electrical condition.
•The cord size is 18AWG for lengths up to 100
feet and 16AWG for length s up to 150 feet.
•Do not operate any battery charger if it has
received a sharp blow, has been dropped, or
has been damaged in any wa y; take it to a
qualified service technician.
•Do not disassemble a battery charger; take it to
a qualified service technician when se rvice or
repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may
result in a risk of electric shoc k or fire.
•Maximum ambient te mperature around th e
power supply or tr ansformer of any ba ttery
charger should not exceed 40°C (104°F).
•The output power from the power supply or
transformer must not exceed the rating given on
the Desktop Dual-Pocket Charger.
•The disconnection from the line voltage is made
by unplugging the power supply from the AC
receptacle.
•To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug any
battery charger from the outlet before attempting
any maintenance or clea ning.
For optimum chargin g performance, turn off the
radio product while charging it in any battery
charger.
