Choosing a Number to Call

Select the number from the recent cal ls list. See
“Making Calls From the Recent Calls L ist” on
page 29.
Select the number f rom Contacts. See “Mak ing
Calls From Contacts ” on page 38.
Select a number stored in Datebook. See
“Making Calls From Datebook” on page 118.
Use One Touch BoostTM walkie- talkie to make a
BoostTM walkie-talkie call. See “One Touch
BoostTM walkie-talkie (WT)” on page 44.
Use the number in Memo. See “Memo” on page
40.
Select the number i n a text message you have
received.
Using a Voice Name
If you have created a voice name in Contacts for
the number you want to call, say the voice name
into your phone to enter the number. See page 33
for information o n voice names.
You can use a vo ice name to enter a number.
1Press and hold t until a prompt appears telling
you to say the vo ice name.
2Speaking into the mic rophone, say the v oice
name assigned to t he number you wan t to call.
Your phone plays the name back to yo u.
If you are making a phone call, the call is placed
automatically.
Tip:To stop a phon e call from being completed,
press e.
If you are making a BoostTM walkie-t alkie call, press
and hold the BoostTM walkie-talkie button to place
the call.
Redialing the Last Number
Press and hold s to place a call to the last phone
number you called.
Using Speed Dial and Turbo Dial®
Each phone number st ored in Contacts is as signed
a Speed Dial number which you can use to call that
number.
Speed Dial
1From the idle screen, use th e keypad to enter
the Speed Dial number assigned to the phone
number you want to call.
2Press #.
3Press s.
Turbo Dial
From the idle scree n, press and hold t he Speed
Dial number (1 through 9) assigned to the phone
number you want to call.
