emergency calls

Your service provider programs one or more emergency phone numbers, such as 999, that you can call under any circumstances, even when your phone is locked or the SIM card is not inserted.

Note: Emergency numbers vary by country. Your phone’s preprogrammed emergency number(s) may not work in all locations, and sometimes an emergency call cannot be placed due to network, environmental, or interference issues.

1Press the keypad keys to dial the emergency number.

2Press Uto call the emergency number.

international calls

If your phone service includes international dialling, press and hold 0to insert your local international access code (indicated by +). Then, press the keypad keys to dial the country code and phone number.

1-touch dial

To call phonebook entries 1 to 9, press and hold the single-digit speed dial number for one second.

You can set 1-touch dial to call the entries in your phone’s memory phonebook, your SIM card’s phonebook, or your fixed dial list:

Find it: Press M> Settings > Initial Setup > 1-Touch Dial

To add a new phonebook entry, see page 68. To edit the speed dial number for a phonebook entry, press M > Phonebook, highlight the entry, then press M> Edit.

voicemail

Your network stores the voicemail messages you receive. To listen to your messages, call your voicemail number.

Note: Your service provider may include additional information about using this feature.

When you receive a voicemail message, your phone shows the voicemail message indicator t and New Voicemail. Press the Call key to listen to the message.

To check voicemail messages:

Find it: Press R> Voicemail

Your phone may prompt you to store your voicemail phone number. If you don’t know your voicemail number, contact your service provider

Note: You can’t store a P (pause), W (wait), or n (number) character in this number. If you want to store a voicemail number with these characters, create a phonebook entry for it. Then, you can use the entry to call your voicemail.
