8.3.5 Install Wizard Pages
These pages are used during system installation. There follows a description of the install
pages along with their use during the installation configuration process. The actual installation
process is described in section 7.7.10 “Aligning the ODUs”.
All wireless links are shipped as paired units. They are pre-configured at the factory so that
they can be installed without the user supplying any configuration. Each wireless link is
shipped with a Quick Start Guide. Attached to the Quick Start Guide is a summary of the
default configuration data. Table 11 shows a sample link configuration. The values highlighted
have been committed to the wireless units non-volatile storage.

The factory default configuration is written to the ‘semi-permanent’ configuration bank.
WARNING: The factory default configuration is limited in range to 40 Km (25 miles). If you
wish to install a wireless link with a range of > 40 Km (> 25 miles) and < 200 Km (< 124 miles)
you must follow the ‘Manually Configuring the Wireless Units’ in section 8.3.5.1.
