For Microsoft Windows computers, the Installation Assistant application automatically checks your system configuration. You can start the Installation Assistant from the Main Menu on the SBV5220 VoIP Cable Modem CD-ROM.

Your SBV5220 VoIP cable modem is compatible with Microsoft Windows®, Macintosh®, UNIX®, and Linux® computers. Windows® 95 is not supported by the SBV5220.

You must have the latest version of your operating system installed with all current service packs and patches.

The original version of Windows® 98, Windows® NT, UNIX, Linux, or Macintosh computers must use the Ethernet connection.

If you use an Ethernet card, it must be installed in your computer before you install your SBV5220 VoIP cable modem. If it is not installed, follow the installation instructions provided with your Ethernet card.
