Configure IP Address and Other Network Settings

The Network tab is where the unit’s network settings are configured. You can modify the Name, Network Configuration, IP1 Address, IP2 Address (only for 2-port model) and the default IP1 address is 192.168.127.254, IP2 address is 192.168.127.253, Netmask and Default Gateway. You may also select a Password to protect the unit from unauthorized access.

Parameter	Value	Notes
		You can enter a name to help you identify
Name	(an alphanumeric string)	the unit, such as the location, function,
		etc.
	Static IP, DHCP, BootP, or	Select “Static IP” if you are using a fixed
Network Configuration		IP address. Select one of the other options
	DHCP/BootP
		if the IP address is set dynamically.
	192.168.127.254	The IP (Internet Protocol) address
IP1 Address		identifies the server on the TCP/IP
	(or other 32-bit number)
		network.
IP2 Address	192.168.127.253	The IP2 (Internet Protocol) address
		identifies the server on the TCP/IP
	(or other 32-bit number)
		network.
Netmask	255.255.255.0	This identifies the server as belonging to
	(or other 32-bit number)	a Class A, B, or C network.
	255.255.255.255	This is the IP address of the router that
Gateway		provides network access outside the
	(or other 32-bit number)
		server’s LAN.
