CONNECTINGTHE POWER (FIGURE 10)

1.Place the power ON/OFF switch (Figure 10) in the OFF position (down).

2.Connect an extension cord (Figure 13) of adequate current carrying capacity to the power plug on the electric motor.

3.MAKE CERTAIN that the correct size extension cord is used. Undersize wires will burn out motors. UseTable 4 to determine the correct extension cord size.

CAUTION

NEVER grab or touch a live power cord (Figure 11) with wet hands , the possibility exists of electrical shock, electrocution, and even death!

NEVER use a damaged or worn extension cable when connecting to a power source. Defective cables may cause damage to the saw's electric motor or electrical shock.

4.This unit is shipped from the factory with the voltage selector switch (Figure 12) in the 115 VAC position. To change the position of the switch from 115 VAC to 230 VAC, remove the locking bolt and place the switch in the 230VAC position.Re- install the locking bolt to prevent accidently flipping the switch.
