MVH-200DA2 — START-UP PROCEDURE

This section is intended to assist the operator with the initial start-upof the compactor. It is extremely important that this section be read carefully before attempting to use the compactor in the field.

Starting the Engine (Yanmar engine):

1. Open the fuel cock (Figure 7).

2.Move the throttle lever to the START position by opening it to about 20 degrees (Figure 8).

3.Grasp the starter grip (Figure 9) and slowly pull it out.The resistance becomes the hardest at a certain position, corre- spondingtothecompressionpoint.Pullthestartergripbriskly and smoothly for starting.

4.Push down the decompression lever (Figure 10) and re- lease.

5. If the engine does not start, repeat steps 3 and 4.

Shut-Down Procedure:

1.Return the throttle lever to the START position. Allow the machine to cool down for 2 to 3 minutes.

2.Turn the throttle lever to the STOP position (Figure 11) to stop the engine.

3. Close the fuel cock (Figure 7).

Emergency Shutdown Procedure:

1.Move the throttle lever quickly to the STOP position (Figure 11).

2.Close the fuel cock.
