CAUTION:
DO NOT attempt to operate the roller until the Safety, General Information and Inspection sections have been read and understood.
1.Sit down in the operator's seat.
2.Beforestartingengine,makesuretheimmediateareaisfree of obstructions and debris that may lay in the roller's path.
3.Makesurethat theroller'stransmissioncontrol lever(Figure 10) is placed in the neutral position.

R2000H — INITIAL START-UP
2Rotate the throttle lever (Figure 12) halfway between fast and slowfor starting. The engine governor speed is factory set to ensure optimum operating speeds.

The CLOSED position of the choke lever enriches the fuel mixture for starting a COLD engine.
NOTE The OPEN position provides the correct fuel mixture for normal operation after starting, and for restarting a warm engine.
3.Place the Choke Lever (Figure 13 in the "CLOSED " position.
NOTE
Starting the Engine
NEVER operate the roller with the access cover open. Keeping the cover closed will prevent dirt and debris from entering into the transmission and drivetrain assemblies. ALWAYS keep the access cover closed for normal operation.
1.Place the engine fuel valve lever (Figure 11) to the "ON" position.
