1.After every 3 months of operation, remove the hub dust cap and inspect the wheel bearings (Figure 27). Once a year, or when required, disassemble the wheel hubs remove the old grease and repack the bearings forcing grease between rollers, cone and cage with a good grade of high speed wheel bearing grease (never use grease heavier than 265 A.S.T.M. penetration (“No. 2.”).

BEARING

Main Gear and Drive Pinion Alignment

1.Disconnect the spark plug wire (gasoline engines). If mixer is equipped with an electric motor remove power cord from AC power receptacle. In addition make sure the clutch engagement lever is disengaged to relieve V-belt tension.

2.The countershaft and drive pinion are mounted on a slotted base.To align drive pinion with main gear, loosen the pillow block mounting bolts and move them until the necessary alignment has been made. Remember gears must be paralleled aligned not skewed.

3.Using your hand, slightly move (rock) the drive pulley back and forth to determine the amount of backlash. Insert feeler gauge between gears to determine backlash distance. Backlash should range between 0.007- 0.012 inches (Figure 28).

2.Fill the wheel hub (Figure 27) with grease to the inside diameter of the outer races and also fill the hub grease cap. Reassemble the hub and mount the wheel. Then tighten the adjusting nut, at the same time turn the wheel in both directions, until there is a slight bind to be sure all the bearing surfaces are in contact.

Then back-off the adjusting nut 1/6 to 1/4 turn or to the nearest locking hole or sufficiently to allow the wheel to rotate freely within limits of .001” to .010” end play. Lock the nut at this position. Install the cotter pin and dust cap, and tighten all hardware.

WM70SH8C, WM70SH5C specifications

The Multiquip WM70SH5C and WM70SH8C are cutting-edge water pump models designed for construction and industrial applications. These robust machines are specifically engineered to handle a variety of heavy-duty pumping tasks, making them an essential asset for contractors and industrial operators alike.

The WM70SH5C model is powered by a reliable 5.5 HP Honda engine, while the WM70SH8C variant features an 8 HP Honda engine, providing additional power for demanding applications. Both models are equipped with a high-performance centrifugal pump, ensuring efficient water transfer and quick operation. They are capable of moving large volumes of water, making them suitable for dewatering, irrigation, and other water management tasks.

One of the standout features of the WM70SH series is their impressive maximum flow rate. The pumps can deliver up to 2,000 gallons per minute, significantly reducing the time required for water removal in flooded areas or construction sites. This efficiency is crucial in maintaining project timelines and ensuring safety in work environments.

Durability is another key characteristic of these models. The WM70SH5C and WM70SH8C are built with heavy-duty materials, including a cast iron pump housing and aluminum alloy components, which resist corrosion and ensure a long operational lifespan. Additionally, their rugged construction allows them to withstand harsh working conditions, making them reliable even in the toughest environments.

Ease of use and maintenance is also a priority in the design of these pumps. The WM70SH series features an easy-access maintenance panel that simplifies routine checks and service procedures. The equipped oil alert system helps prevent engine damage by shutting down the engine if the oil level is too low, providing peace of mind for operators.

Both models are designed for portability, with integrated handles and a lightweight frame that facilitate easy transportation. This mobility makes the WM70SH series ideal for contractors who need to move equipment frequently from one job site to another.

In summary, the Multiquip WM70SH5C and WM70SH8C water pumps stand out in the market for their powerful performance, robust construction, and ease of use. They are designed to deliver efficiency, reliability, and durability, making them an excellent choice for any water pumping requirements in construction and industrial applications. With features catering to the demands of heavy-duty tasks, these pumps enhance productivity while ensuring operational safety.
