Troubleshooting

Some apparent malfunctions may be remedied by simple checks as described below. If the problem persists, please contact your dealer or an authorized Nakamichi service center.

No power.

- Verify that the plug of the power cord is plugged properly into the AC outlet.

After insertion, a disc is ejected again.

- The disc was inserted upside down. Insert the disc with the label facing up.

No sound.

-Verify that all connections are established properly.

-Verify that volume level is set to a suitable position.

-Verify that mute function is disabled.

-Verify that speakers are connected properly.

-The protection circuitry may have been activated. Stop play- back of the program source and wait a while until the ampli-

fier automatically resets itself.

Some channels are interchanged.

No sound in some channels.

- Verify that audio equipment connections are established prop-

erly.

-Verify that balance is set correctly.

Hum is heard.

- Verify that all connections are established properly.

Disc playback is not possible, sound is unstable, or

skipping occurs.

-If the disc is dirty, clean it.

-If the disc is scratched, use another disc.

-Turn off the CD player and other components, and check all connections.

-Moisture may have condensed on the pickup lens. Turn the unit on and let the unit warm up for about 30 minutes to one

hour.

Memory play is not possible.

-The contents of the memory may have been lost. Repeat the memory programming procedure.
