RRAM random access memory
range the maximum and minimum parameters between which a sensor,
instrument, or device operates with a specified set of characteristics
referenced signal sources signal sources with voltage signals that are referenced to a system
ground, such as the earth or a building ground. Also called grounded
signal sources.
resolution the smallest signal increment that can be detected by a measurement
system. Resolution can be expressed in bits, in proportions, or in
percent of full scale. For example, a system has 12-bit resolution,
onepart in 4,096 resolution, and 0.0244% of full scale.
RH relative humidity
rms root mean square
RTD resistive temperature detector—a metallic probe that measures
temperature based upon its coefficient of resistivity
RTSI bus real-time system integration bus—the National Instruments timing bus
that connects DAQ devices directly, by means of connectors on top of
the devices, for precise timing synchronization between multiple
devices
RTSI_OSC RTSI Oscillator—RTSI bus master clock
Ss seconds
S samples
S/s samples per second—used to express the rate at which a DAQ device
samples an analog signal
SC scan counter
scan interval controls how often a scan is initialized; the scan interval is regulated by
STARTSCAN
