The following drivers are not installed au t oma tica lly , but can be
installed from their respective locations:
• Backpack CD-ROM (3.02) C:\Inst a ll\ D rivers\CDRom
• Edgeport USB (1.15.2) C:\Install\Drivers\USB
Configures the following settings/revisions:
• Preinstalls W2K to include the Product ID Number (PID)
• Places the Gold Drive Part Number, Date Created, LPIN, and
Release in Registry under:
HKey-Local_Machine\Software\NCR\Gold Drive
• Runs Sysprep, using sysprep. inf and sysprep.bat, so that the m in i
installation will run on initial boot with the fo llowin g parameters:
− Automatically include PID
• Establishes a FAT32 primary system partition t hat fills the entire
drive
• Includes necessary OS cab files in C:\Inst a ll
• Installs SP1 and SP2
• Installs SMI Control Panel
• Installs Intel Proset ut ility
• Enables APM
• Sets APM monitor shutoff' to ‘Never’
• Enables PME (in Intel Proset utility) set to 'Ha rd wa re De fa u lt '
• Enables DMA
• Sets color to 16 bit
• Makes PinPad testing folder available in C:\ In s tall\Drivers\PinPad
• Changes audio hardware acceleration from ‘standard’ to ‘emulation
only’
• Replaces the standard EULA with the NCR-specific EULA
