7. Maintenance

This section describes the simple maintenance procedures you should follow to clean the filters and replace the lamp.

Cleaning or Replacing the Filter

The air-filter sponge keeps dust and dirt from getting inside the projector and should be frequently cleaned. If the filter is dirty or clogged, your projector may overheat.

NOTE: The message for filter cleaning will be displayed for one minute when the projector is turned on or off. To cancel the message, press any button on the projector cabinet or the remote control.

CAUTION

Turn off the projector, turn off the main power switch and unplug the projector before replacing the filter.

Only clean the outside of the filter cover with a vacuum cleaner.

Do not attempt to operate the projector without the filter cover.

To clean the air-filter:

Vacuum the filter-through the filter cover.

To reset the filter usage time, from the menu, select [Reset] [Clear Filter Hours]. (page 113 for resetting the filter usage time)
