A unique name to identify the shared folder. Do not include spaces in the name.

Compres- Select the Compression check box to enable data compression. Compression saves storage

sion space and increases the speed of data transfers, but the compression and decompression pro- cesses require additional resources. By default, the Compression check box is cleared.

Continuous Select the Continuous Protection check box to enable data protection through snapshots and Protection configure how often snapshots are taken. By default, the Continuous Protection check box is se-

lected. For more information about snapshots, see Chapter 5, Snapshots on page 109.

 

Interval

The interval specifies how often a snapshot is taken. Make a selection

Hourly. A snapshot is taken every hour on the hour.

 

 

 

Daily. A snapshot is taken every day at midnight.

 

 

 

Weekly. A snapshot is taken every week on Friday at midnight.
