HDR

Details in highlights and shadows are preserved using HDR (high dynamic range). Each time the shutter-release button is fully pressed, the camera takes two shots in quick succession and combines them to preserve details in highlights and shadows in high-contrast scenes; the built-in flash and optional flash units do not fire. Some time may be required to process the pictures; the final photograph will be displayed when processing is com- plete.

The edges of the image will be cropped out. The desired results may not be achieved if the camera or subject moves during shooting. Depending on the scene, shading may be uneven and shadows may appear around bright objects or halos around dark objects.
