1.Il soggetto principale nella cornice di messa a fuoco è di dimensioni abbastanza ridotte

Quando un soggetto posizionato di fronte a uno sfondo distante viene inquadrato all’interno della cornice di messa a fuoco, come mostrato nella Fig. C, è probabile che solamente lo sfondo sia a fuoco, mentre il soggetto sia sfocato.

2.Il soggetto principale è un soggetto o una scena con una texture o un decoro molto fini

Se il soggetto presenta un motivo molto fitto o a basso contrasto, ad esempio un campo di fiori come illustrato nella Fig. D, la messa a fuoco con l’autofocus potrebbe risultare difficoltosa.
