1 Focus

Press the shutter-release button halfway to set fo-

cus and exposure ( 7). In mode, the camera will automatically focus on the subject at the center of the frame. Focus and exposure will lock while the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. If the subject is poorly lit and the flash is on, the built-in Speedlight will pop up automatically.

With the shutter-release button pressed halfway, check the focus and flash indicators:

2 Take the picture

Press the shutter release button the rest of the way down to take the picture. To prevent blur, press the shutter-release button down smoothly.
