Recording Movies

Recording Movies

1 Rotate the mode dial to 898”

The exposure count display in the monitor shows the maximum total length of the movie that can be recorded.

2 Start recording

Press the shutter-release button all the way down to start recording.

While recording is in progress, a REC indicator will be displayed. To pause recording, press the center of the multi selector. Recording will resume when the center of the multi selector is pressed again.

 TV, Small, Sepia, and Black-and-White Movies898” Vibration Reduction (VR)

3 End recording

Press the shutter-release button all the way down a second time to end recording. Recording will end automatically when the movie has reached maxi- mum length or the memory card is full.

Movies

Manual background TV, Small, Sepia, and Black-and-White Movies

The Speedlight turns off when TV movie 640, Small movie 320, Sepia movie 320, or B/W movie 320 is selected. Optical zoom can not be adjusted during recording. Digital zoom (maximum 2×) can be used at any time, both before and during recording, even if Off is selected for Zoom options > Digital tele (Manual background 102).

Do not touch the built-in microphone during recording.

Manual background Vibration Reduction (VR)

Vibration reduction can be used to reduce the effects of camera shake (Manual background 45).
